Grand Theft Auto IV, a game Plagued on PC by bad performance, game breaking glitches, DRM, GFWL, Rockstar Social Club, and more problems than I care list. Besides the PC Specific issues the game was drab in every way compared to its ancestors. Taken away from the wacky and colorful playful Satire of the previous Grand Theft Series it took a look at the more serious and “realistic” look at being a Russian mobster with a gambling cousin. Yea… when I said realistic.
The game is not all bad. It is still a good game it just does not hold up to the standard we were expecting when we got a Rockstar game. They did something different and some people “like me” don’t like it as much as what they were doing before. They tried something new which does get my respect. What does not get my respect is a very poor PC port. Although we have seen bad PC ports from Rockstar before this one was a particularly bad example, but I digress. If you have a monster PC, and don’t mind a more serious story then grab GTA IV on a sale, download some mods, and have fun! I took a few screenshots while I played. They are posted below.
My thoughts on DeadSpace 2. DeadSpace 2 follows the same basic formula that Dead Space 1 had, but with some improvements to the gameplay. The game is even more action oriented then the last game, but still had its fare share of jump scares. Something I don't consider to be scary. The story line continues off from the last game, and to me is not all that interesting. However the gameplay is an enjoyable experience.
First we need the unpacker.zip, download it Here: Metro 2033 Mod Tools
Once extracted you will see two files. The only one we are worried about is m2033unp.exe
Now we need to find our Metro 2033 game folder. If you bought it on steam it is in the following location.
It may also be in your programs folder in the root of C:\
Once you have found the folder look for a file called sounds.vfs0. This is where all the music is kept along with some other sound assets from the game.
Drag and drop the sounds.vfs0 file onto the m2033unp.exe program and a Command Prompt window will appear. It will begin extracting the files. It won't take very long.
Once it is done you should find your Music files in \metro 2033\content\sounds\music\omelchuk.
They will be in the ogg format which can be played with Winamp or Foobar 2000. If you like you can use foobar 2000 to convert the files into mp3.
Then again if you're really lazy you can just download the extracted files Here. Thank me later.
